OREANDA-NEWS. Voronezh doctors plan in 2020 to introduce an artificial intelligence system in the region to process the results of chest x-ray studies.  Testing of the system will begin in September, a spokeswoman for the Voronezh Region Department of Health said on Thursday.

 During the test period, doctors will also check images in parallel.  If the conclusions of the doctor and the computer system diverge, then the developers will have to change the algorithm of artificial intelligence.

 Doctors plan to minimize errors by the end of 2019, and introduce the software package in the region’s medical facilities by 2020.  Thanks to the work of artificial intelligence, patients will be able to quickly obtain the results of fluorographic studies.  The program can begin to be applied to the processing of mammographic studies and not only.
