OREANDA-NEWS.   Vladimir Putin had telephone conversations with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy.

The leaders had detailed discussions concerning the latest developments in the crisis in Ukraine. They stressed the extreme importance of preventing further escalation in violence and the need to quickly normalise the situation.

The politicians agreed to maintain personal contact regarding this topic and to intensify cooperation between foreign policy departments.
