OREANDA-NEWS. The President and Mr Volkov discussed the region’s economic performance in 2013.

The Head of Mordovia reported to Vladimir Putin that industrial production in the Republic has grown by 6 percent in the outgoing year. The share of innovative industrial products should reach 26 percent.

Mr Volkov also said that next year a major fibre-optics production facility will open in Mordovia, and a fibre-optic equipment engineering centre will become operational.
