OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting in Krasnodar Territory on the situation with the harvest.

Topical issues for Russia’s agricultural sector and its development prospects are on the meeting’s agenda. Representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies, regional heads and representatives of big agribusiness companies and financial institutions are in attendance.

Before the meeting Vladimir Putin inspected how the corn harvest in a field in Ust-Labinsk District is going, and met with combine-harvester operators employed by Kuban AgroHolding. 

In addition, an agreement between Russian Machines and AGCO [an American agricultural equipment manufacturer] on a joint venture to produce tractors and combines was signed in the President’s presence.
