OREANDA-NEWS. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Yi.

The meeting agenda focused of the forthcoming top level Turkmen-Chinese talks to be held in Ashgabat this autumn. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Yi expressed belief that given the mutual aspiration of the two countries for the further efficient cooperation, the visit would offer a powerful incentive to bringing the international relations, which are successfully built at the bilateral and multilateral basis within the framework of leading international organisations and authoritative regional structures, to a qualitatively new level.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects of fostering cooperation in such strategic areas as trade and economy, fuel and energy complex, transport, communication and humanitarian spheres, textile and chemical industry as well as other areas, where Turkmenistan and China successfully implement significant joint projects.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Mr. Xiao Qinghua attended the meeting.
