OREANDA-NEWS. Mr Yevkurov briefed Vladimir Putin on the socioeconomic situation in the republic, investment programmes underway, pre-school education and healthcare.

In particular, Mr Yevkurov informed the President about an increase in the region’s gross regional product and budget revenue, substantial investment growth and construction of major new sites in the republic, positive results in the agriculture sector, and a drop in the unemployment rate. Crime in Ingushetia was also down by 7.4 percent, and the number terrorism-related crimes was down by half.

Mr Yevkurov said that Ingushetia’s biggest problems today are in the education and health sectors.
