OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2012. Further development of real economy and domestic market will remain among priorities of 2013. It was stated by the President at the meeting with newly-appointed members of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the President, it was increasingly important to gradually continue deregulation policy, especially to reduce business costs.

The Head of State drew particular attention to the necessity of agricultural reform which requires implementation of effective forms of management, development of the cooperative movement and modernization of state aid to farmers.

“We should improve social services and increase targeting of social expenditures in terms of hard budget constraints. The budget reform associated with the Pension Fund should also be continued,” the President said.

Viktor Yanukovych also emphasized the importance of further reformation of security sector. “We have finished the elaboration of a number of conceptual documents, including the reform of the army and law enforcement sphere. Now, we must move on to their implementation,” he noted.

“We count on enhanced cooperation with international financial institutions - IMF and the World Bank. Also, we expect positive results of negotiations with WTO regarding consideration of our national interests in the international trade,” the President added.
