Ukraine and India to Enhance Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2012. The President’s state visit to India was aimed at enhancing cooperation between our countries. It was stated by the President in the interview to journalists in Bangalore. “First of all, we tried to enhance Ukrainian-Indian relations that have been on a very poor level for almost 10 years,” Viktor Yanukovych noted.
The President is confident that Ukrainian-Indian cooperation had opened a new page. He reminded the restoration of the work of Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation that had already started to elaborate offers aimed at acceleration of bilateral cooperation in all spheres. First of all, these offers concern attraction of investments, establishment of joint ventures and search for additional opportunities to supply equipment and raw materials.
According to the President, the increase in trade turnover between the two states was only the beginning of efficient cooperation. “For us, India is one of the most interesting partners in the region,” Viktor Yanukovych noted.
