“Since its inception, the Global Energy Prize has been one of the most prestigious international awards, rallying around shared goals the creative community of talented scientists, researchers and experts in the field of energy from Russia and many other countries. Each year the award’s credibility grows, and the presentation ceremony is famous for its unique atmosphere of creativity, openness and scientific solidarity.

Today energy resources and their efficiency have become the key factor in the steady development of national economies, determining the quality of people’s lives. That is why the efforts of energy scientists, their fundamental work and practical discoveries are in great demand. After all, their work will give us new and promising oil and gas fields, the technology for deep processing of raw materials, the most modern approaches to energy efficiency and alternative energy sources.

I am confident that the Prize will serve to further consolidate the pioneering forces in the global scientific community in the field of energy.”

Over the past ten years, the Prize has been awarded to 24 scientists from nine countries: Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States.
