OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2012.  Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev and region’s residents, including a medical sector worker, a mother of a large family, and workers.

Various issues pertaining to the region’s socio-economic development were discussed at the meeting, including the region’s investment attractiveness, developing small and medium-sized business, and support for local industry, especially the agricultural engineering, following Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organisation.

Other issues discussed included gas distribution and water supply, shortages of health sector personnel in rural areas, training workers for industrial sectors, and combating drug abuse among young people.
