OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2012. Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.

During the conversation, the two leaders addressed current issues on the bilateral agenda, including preparations for the upcoming 14th round of Russian-German interstate consultations scheduled for November in Moscow.

Mr Putin and Ms Merkel also stressed the importance of launching the second part of the Nord Stream pipeline in October of this year, in connection with assuring Europe’s energy security.
