OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2012. President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the State Sectary Council at the Caspian Sea formation in Turkmenbashi, where the Turkmen leader met with the heads of the military and law enforcement agencies.

The meeting agenda focused on the issues related to implementation of the national Military Reform, increasing the defense capacity of the country, the further consolidation of legality and the rule of law in the name of peace and prosperity of the Fatherland. The results of work of the military and law enforcement agencies for the first eight months of this year were also considered during the meeting.

The President of Turkmenistan congratulated those present on successful holding of the Khazar-2012 demonstrative tactical exercises with participation of the Naval Forces of Turkmenistan as well as subdivisions of almost all corps of the National Armed Forces, law enforcement and military agencies of Turkmenistan.

The heads of the military and law enforcement agencies reported on the progress in implementing the Military Reform taken place in the country with the aim to strengthen the defense capacity of the country, to modernize the material and technical basis of the security, defence and law enforcement agencies, to improve the system of training high qualified military staff, to create appropriate conditions for service and life of military men. It was also reported on fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the results of work for the first eight months of this year.
