OREANDA-NEWS. September 04, 2012.  Vladimir Putin met with Head of Mari El Leonid Markelov and residents of the region – healthcare sector, agriculture and sports representatives.

The issues discussed at the meeting included demographic policy, salaries in healthcare sector, development of sport in the republic, including the construction of sports schools, urban development and transport infrastructure, as well as the poultry and pig farming expansion.
