OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012.  Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his 55th birthday.

Also during the conversation, Mr Berdimuhamedov confirmed an invitation to Mr Putin to visit Turkmenistan.

The two presidents exchanged views on the summit of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will take place in Ashgabat in November.

Mr Putin earlier sent a message of congratulations to Mr Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, in which he noted, in particular, Mr Berdimuhamedov’s contribution to strengthening the two countries’ bilateral relationship based on the traditions of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect.
