Russian to Intensify Relations with Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov during a week held several meetings with the Russian Federation leadership. During the negotiations, Ukraine has been given a clear message: Russia is interested in intensifying relations with Ukraine. This was stated by Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov at beginning a Cabinet meeting.
"During a week I met twice with the leadership of Russian Federation. On Saturday at the United Russia Congress - with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the newly appointment Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev. And yesterday in Ashgabat - again with Russian Prime Minister," recalled Mykola Azarov.
According to him, in Russia the election rally has been finished, as well formed a stable government with consistent policies. "I believe stability, predictability in the neighbours - a huge advantage for Ukraine. So I sincerely wished success to our partners," PM noted.
According to Mykola Azarov, a main key idea of his meetings with the President and Chairman of the RF Government is Russian’s desire to develop our bilateral cooperation. "The Russian leadership has confirmed interest in boosting bilateral relations," he said. The parties have decided on the priorities that are quite pragmatic. This applies to the decision of the Russian side about lending construction of 3 and 4 reactors at Khmelnitsky NPP, and intending to participate in batch production of AN-148 aircraft.
PM instructed the heads of relevant departments to launch practical implementation of these projects.
