OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2012. President Viktor Yanukovych and President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan have agreed to establish a joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, President Yanukovych told journalists in Chicago.

Viktor Yanukovych and Hamid Karzai have discussed bilateral relations between the states and Ukraine’s humanitarian mission in Afghanistan. "We have discussed a broad range of questions of bilateral cooperation that we will be developing. It includes the construction of various infrastructure facilities, the repairing of USSR-times military equipment, etc.," Viktor Yanukovych said.

According to him, the parties have moreover agreed to exchange presidential visits.
