OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2012. Dmitry Medvedev visited the Apatit mining company’s Vostochny Mine, where he looked over the mining and transport operations control room and met with company employees.

Among the issues discussed during the meeting were the consequences of Russia’s entry to the WTO, energy efficiency, and attracting investment to Murmansk Region, in particular with regard to the Kola Peninsula tourism cluster’s development. Mr Medvedev said that he will instruct the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy to examine the possibility of establishing a mountain skiing training base in Khibiny.
