OREANDA-NEWS.  February 22, 2012. Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with President of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab.

During the conversation, Dmitry Medvedev offered assistance to Alexander Ankvab in investigating the attempt made on the Abkhaz leader’s life this morning.

Convoy of the Abkhaz President came under crossfire on the road between Sukhum and Gudauta. Alexander Ankvab survived the attack unhurt.
