OREANDA-NEWS.  February 10, 2012. Dmitry Medvedev informed Valery Zorkin that he is submitting his name to the Council of Federation as candidate for the post of President of the Constitutional Court.

President Medvedev said that his decision is motivated by Mr Zorkin’s great experience and the effort he has put in as President of the Constitutional Court.

Mr Zorkin’s current mandate in this post ends on February 20, 2012.
