PM of Ukraine: Nobody Will Bring Ukraine to Its Knees
OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. Despite the unfavorable gas prices, the Government managed to meet all social obligations. This was stressed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during a speech in a program "Shuster LIVE"
Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that as of December 23 it was performed all obligations to pay pensions and other social payments from the Budget. The price of gas, which directly affect the economy, was quite high - 416 dollars.
This cost of gas is embedded in the budget calculations of 2012 year. So, Mykola Azarov is convinced that next year the Government also will meet all social obligations.
"Russia should know: it is impossible to bring us to our knees", - Mykola Azarov emphasized, adding that 2011 was extremely difficult, but "we stand".
But he added that the current negotiations on the revision of gas prices are being continued, and they will last for as long as not "normal results will be achieved".
