Dmitry Medvedev Had Telephone Conversation with Barack Obama
OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with President of the United States Barack Obama initiated by the American side.
Barack Obama congratulated Dmitry Medvedev on Russia’s accession to the WTO. Emphasising the high significance of the event, the leaders noted that it lays the foundation for substantial qualitative and quantitative growth in bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
The Presidents of Russia and the US stressed the importance of supporting the positive momentum in the advancement of Russian-American relations. Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama reaffirmed their intent to maintain a productive, trust-based dialogue, and agreed to continue working jointly and efficiently with the aim of further developing the bilateral cooperation potential.
During the conversation, the leaders also discussed plans for possible contacts at the highest level in the near future.
