OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2011.  A meeting with Robert Kopecky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Turkmenistan (Tashkent-based residence), who had arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the celebrations to mark the Day of Health and Medical Industry Workers and the 16th anniversary of the adoption of the Health State Programme, was held at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The diplomat was informed in detail of the key aspects of the policy of the Turkmen state and the aims and objectives of the ongoing large-scale projects and programmes of reforms initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The meeting participants put emphasis on intensification of fruitful Turkmen-Czech cooperation developed effectively in the priority fields of bilateral collaboration in mutual interests. Expressing admiration with the large scale of the ongoing reforms in Turkmenistan, the diplomat focused on the existing tremendous potential to further mutually advantageous trade and economic partnerships and build up closer humanitarian contacts between the two friendly countries.

Touching upon the issues related to cooperation in the delivery of state-of-the-art medical equipment and high quality pharmaceutical products to our country, Mr. Robert Kopecky focused on a fruitful exchange of experience and specialists and intensification of bilateral scientific and academic contacts.

The meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry were scheduled in the framework of programme of the diplomat’s visit to Ashgabat.
