OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Mr Chavez on Venezuela’s recent big celebrations of the 200th anniversary of its declaration of independence, wished Venezuela’s people peace and prosperity, and their president good health and success.

The two leaders said they were happy with the way high-level agreements on practical development of trade and economic cooperation are being carried out, and noted that the regular contacts the two countries maintain at the various levels are giving these efforts a helpful boost.
