OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2011. Ukraine is interested in expansion of cooperation with Poland in the energy sphere, the First vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev said this during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic Poland Radoslaw Sikorski.

According to Andriy Klyuyev Ukraine is interested in the maximal increase of own extraction of hydrocarbons.

Participants of the meeting have discussed possibilities of cooperation in the field of extraction of slate gas. Andriy Klyuyev declared that Ukraine is very interested on arrival to area of investigation and extraction of energy material of major investors, including from the European Union.

According to the First vice Prime of Ukraine among priorities of the Ukrainian Government - extraction of oil and gas, as well as extraction of slate gas, gas-methane, gas from dense breeds. Besides Ukraine tried to accelerate energy efficiency of own economy, as well as - to develop the energy based on renewed sources, Andriy Klyuyev declared.

Participants of the meeting noted mutual interest in cooperation in the field of electric energy industry. In particular, Andriy Klyuyev and Radoslaw Sikorski discussed possibilities on export of the Ukrainian electric energy to Poland.
