OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. A telephone conversation between Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took place at the American side’s initiative.

The conversation focused mainly on upcoming Russian-US contacts. Pressing international problems also were discussed – including the Middle East peace process, the situations in Libya and Syria, Iran’s nuclear program and the issue of counterterrorism.
