OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2011. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Girts Valdis Kristovskis in Oslo on June 7, in the margins of the 16th ministerial session of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.

They discussed the state of and prospects for Russian-Latvian relations, including improving their legal framework. The Russian side called attention to the necessity of maintaining the constructive atmosphere of bilateral dialogue, particularly in the humanitarian field, for the promotion of cooperation.
