OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2011.  A high-level delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Economy Gayrat Niyazov is on a working visit to Turkmenistan. The delegation was received at the Government, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Communal Services.

During the meetings it was noted that the current stage of Turkmen-Uzbek relations was characterised by intensification of mutually advantageous cooperation. The issues related to practical collaboration in the trade and economic, fuel and energy, transport and communication sectors, including promotion of the Agreement on the transnational transit trap sort corridor which would link Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran with Middle East and other countries. An exchange of views on the enhancement of cooperation in the agricultural sector and on deliveries of agricultural machinery took place during the meetings.

The delegation of the friendly neighbouring country will have the meetings at the Ministry of Energy and Industry and the Ministry of Motor Transport in Ashgabat.
