OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev announced that he has signed into law amendments to the Housing Code and other legislation on the housing and utilities sector. The amendments empower local authorities to keep control over the activities of the managing companies responsible for maintenance of apartment buildings.

The President instructed the Government to pass the necessary bylaws and monitor the amendments’ implementation.
