OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2011. A meeting with Francois Blancy, Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Regional Delegation, who had arrived on a visit to the Turkmen capital, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting agenda focused on the aspects of further partnership with this major international organisation in the context of the progressive programmes implemented in the humanitarian and legal spheres in particular.

Noting that the ICRC supported the international initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to ensure sustainable and stable development all over the world, Mr. Francois Blancy said that the ICRC sought to expand constructive cooperation with the Turkmen state in the sphere of personnel training and implementation of joint heath projects in particular.

Francois Blancy, Deputy Head of ICRC Regional Delegation was received at the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights and the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan in the framework of the visit to Ashgabat.
