OREANDA-NEWS. April 8, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev and Hugo Chavez discussed practical aspects of bilateral trade, economic, financial and other cooperation, having noted the progress in implementing agreements reached during the President of Venezuela’s visit to Russia in October 2010.

During their conversation, the leaders exchanged views on current international issues, first and foremost the situation in and concerning Libya, and emphasised that any parties involved should strictly adhere to the UN Security Council resolutions and that safety of civilian population, ending bloodshed, and resolving the conflict through political dialogue should be the priorities of the moment.
