OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2011. The draft export development program for 2011-2015 will be considered in a session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of Belarus on 8 February.

The national program has been developed as part of the major guidelines of the social and economic development program of the Republic of Belarus for 2011-2015 approved at the Fourth All-Belarus People’s Congress.

The major goal of the new program is to ensure the implementation of target parameters fixed in Belarus’ social and economic development program for 2011-2015, i.e. to increase the export of goods and services 2.18-2.22 times and reach foreign trade surplus in goods and services by 2014 through upgrading and enhancing the competitive ability of the economy.

The program is aimed to set up new export-based manufactures, increase profitability of exports and the amount of currency earnings; raise FDI for production upgrading and enhancement of the export potential of the national economy; encourage wider presence of national companies in the global production networks; increase the share of high-technology and science-intensive products with the high value added in the exports, etc.
