OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2010. A telephone conversation took place on December 18 between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Yang Jiechi.

The Ministers held a thorough exchange of views and coordinated their positions regarding the search for ways to de-escalate military and political tension on the Korean Peninsula. They were unanimous in the view that the parties concerned should display exceptional restraint and avoid actions which could provoke an armed conflict in the region.
