OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2010. A delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, Director of the National Energy Bureau Zhang Guobao is on a visit to the Turkmen capital. The delegation has arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the International Exhibition and Conference on the Key Vectors of Development of Power Industry of Turkmenistan.

The Chinese delegation was received at the Government of Turkmenistan. During the meeting also attended by the high-ranking officials of the State Agency for Hydrocarbon Management and Use under the President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmengaz State Concern, the sides exchanged views on further development of Turkmen-Chinese relations actively intensified in recent years.

Focusing on the high potential of the Turkmen market and the favourable investment climate created in the country, the guests reaffirmed that China was interested in expanding mutually advantageous cooperation, including through the implementation of new joint energy projects.

Underscoring with satisfaction the profound potential available to enhance fruitful collaboration, the sides called for building up partnership meeting the national interests and priorities of the two friendly countries.
