OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2010. On behalf of the Spanish people, the King of Spain expressed solidarity and sympathy following the recent terrorist attacks in Russia. Dmitry Medvedev thanked King Juan Carlos I for his words of support.

In discussing various aspects of fighting the fires that have affected both nations this year, the President of Russia and the King of Spain agreed to establish close cooperation between the respective agencies and promote exchange of experiences and technologies in fire-extinguishing.

Other issues addressed during the conversation included preparations for the Year of Spain in Russia and the Year of Russia in Spain in 2011 and top level contacts plans.
