OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2010.  Dmitry Medvedev was briefed on a tragic fire that broke out at an old people’s home in Vyshny Volochok, Tver Region.

The President gave the instruction to provide everyone affected with all necessary assistance, pay compensation, and restore full operations at the old people’s home.

Besides, Mr Medvedev ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office Investigative Committee to carry out a thorough investigation into the incident.

The fire in the old people’s home killed nine people and injured two.
