OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Minister of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar.

The President underlined the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The President expressed assurance that Iranian Interior Minister's visit to Azerbaijan would be successful and give impetus to the already existing friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries. Having characterized the visit of the Iranian Minister at the head of a large delegation as an indicator of good relations, the President expressed confidence in further strengthening of bilateral ties. 

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar conveyed President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad's greetings to the Azerbaijani President. Recalling with content his previous visits to Azerbaijan, Mostafa Mahammad Najjar added that the presence in his delegation of governors of four Iranian provinces, bordering with Azerbaijan, demonstrated the importance attached to the visit. The President expressed his gratitude for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad’s greetings and asked the Minister to pass on his greetings to the President as well.
