OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2010. With a view to developing traditional cooperation between Turkmenistan and the largest United Nations institutions Steven Richard Allen, UNICEF’s Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS arrived in the Turkmen capital.

During the visit the guest will hold the talks at the Mejlis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Turkmenistan. The issues relating to expanding strategic partnership in the framework of the 2010-2015 programme of cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN Children’s Fund will be put o the agenda of the meetings.

During his visit to Ashgabat the guest will meet with the young participants on the art project launched by UNICEF and the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting of Turkmenistan.
