OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2010. The President stressed that relations between Azerbaijan and Poland had developed successfully. Noting the high-level political relations between the two countries, President Ilham Aliyev underscored the importance of intensifying the cooperation in economic sphere. Stating interest in enhancement of relations between Poland and Azerbaijan in different spheres, the President expressed assurances that the visit of the Prime Minister would be significant for determining new areas of cooperation and discussing additional steps for joint activities.

Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk noted his visits to the Martyr’s Alley and the Alley of Honors and mentioned their importance for the history of Azerbaijan. He emphasized that there are many related moments in the history of Azerbaijan and Poland. Donald Tusk expressed confidence that the visit will be productive from the standpoint of further expansion of relations and determination of particular projects in economic sphere between Azerbaijan and Poland. The Prime Minister noted the importance of expanding mutual relations within the framework of the European Union.
