OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2010. The ninth round of START Treaty follow-on talks was held in Geneva from February 1-27.

As a result of intensive work the sides advanced substantially in hammering out the remaining issues in the set of documents which will form an agreement package.

With a view to finalizing and submitting a future treaty to the Russian and US presidents for signing, the parties agreed to continue official talks from March 9 in Geneva.
