OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2010. Dmitry Medvedev had a working meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Director of the Department for Security Affairs and Disarmament of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Antonov.

The meeting discussed preparation of a new START treaty in accordance with the Joint Understanding on Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms signed by the presidents of Russia and the United States during U.S. President Barack Obama’s visit to Moscow in July 2009.

Anatoly Antonov heads the Russian delegation at the Russian-U.S. negotiations on the new START treaty.
