OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. The development of relations between Russia and the EU, the President of Russia’s initiative regarding a European Security Treaty, and a visa-free travel regime for citizens of Russia and EU member-states were among the subjects discussed.

These issues were considered in conjunction with Russia’s Economic Development Strategy through to 2020 and the EU development strategy for 2010-2020.

Within the Partnership for Modernisation initiated by the Russian President at the EU-Russia summit in Stockholm [on November 18, 2009] Dmitry Medvedev and Felipe Gonzalez discussed the prospects for cooperation between Russia and the EU.
