Vladimir Putin Speaks with Indian Prime Minister by Telephone
OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. The two leaders discussed the preparations for Prime Minister Putin's visit to India in March. In particular, they focused on the forthcoming meeting of the Russia-India Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Sobyanin.
Mr Putin and Mr Singh expressed their satisfaction with the development of the Russian-Indian relations in trade and the economy, which have shown strong positive dynamics even during the global recession. In particular, they noted that bilateral trade grew by 8% in 2009.
