OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2010. A conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hamrokhon Zarifi, took place in London on the sidelines of the International Conference on Afghanistan.

They exchanged views on coordination and cooperation between the two countries on the Afghan track, and on the state of, and prospects for the Russia-Tajikistan foreign policy interaction.

The conversation was held in a confidential setting, traditional for Russian-Tajik relations, built on the principles of strategic partnership and allied understanding.
