OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2010. The Governor of Primorsky Krai Sergey DARKIN held a formal meeting with the Consul General of Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Nakhodka SIM Guk Ryon.

SIM Guk Ryon congratulated Sergey DARKIN on his reappointment as a Governor of Primorsky Krai for the third term. He reminded about the 10th anniversary of the Russia - North Korea Declaration on the development of bilateral cooperation, which was signed on July, 19, 2000. Mr. Sim Guk Ryon noted steady growth of friendly relations between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and outlined new possibilities for its expansion.

Sergey DARKIN, in his turn, also noted the necessity to develop economic and cultural relations between Primorye and North Korea. The activity of working group consisting of Primorsky Krai officials and PDRK Committee on the Promotion of International Trade, which was created in 2003, is a perfect example of such mutually beneficial cooperation.
