The Emergency Situations Ministry plane with a mobile hospital on board and humanitarian aid, including food and medicines, will be sent to Haiti.

A devastating earthquake struck Haiti causing much damage and loss of life.

Dmitry Medvedev sent a message of condolences to President of Haiti Rene Preval after an earthquake hit the country causing much destruction and loss of life.

The President’s telegram said, in particular:

“I ask you to pass on my profound condolences to the victims’ families and my sincere expression of sympathy and support to everyone affected by this natural disaster.”
