OREANDA-NEWS. January 08, 2010. The President laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Glory Alley and also visited the St George Church and its Sunday School.

The President gave the Church an icon as a gift. Dmitry Medvedev also toured the Church’s Sunday School and presented its pupils with an electronic blackboard.

The conversation with the pupils continued over tea. The church’s rector, Archpriest Mikhail, and Governor of the Moscow Region Boris Gromov also took part.

Later, President Medvedev visited the historical and cultural centre, where he attended art classes in the children’s studio and watched a Christmas performance put on by the pupils.

Dmitry Medvedev gave the children various gifts and wished them a Merry Christmas, success in their studies, and good mood.
