Leaders of Turkmenistan and Turkey Conducted Telephone Conversation
OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul had a telephone conversation.
Exchanging the heartfelt, fraternal greetings the leaders of two friendly states congratulated each other on the coming holiday – New Year’s Day and wished happiness, good health and wellbeing to the peoples of Turkmenistan and Turkey.
Expressing satisfaction with an opportunity to exchange views on the whole spectrum of intergovernmental cooperation successfully developed at the bilateral and multilateral levels during the personal conversation, the sides discussed the critical aspects of the Turkmen-Turkish relations and some international issues of mutual interest.
Evaluating highly the progress in implementing the top-level and government agreements, the sides harmonized the approaches to building traditional cooperation based on the profound economic potential as well as the firm foundation of the age-old historical, spiritual and cultural affinities of two nations.
Reiterating the mutual willingness to intensify and fill the Turkmen-Turkish dialogue with a new content, the Presidents expressed belief that fruitful operation would be further built on an equal and mutually advantageous basis.
During the conversation Abdullah Gul invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit Turkey. Accepting the invitation with gratitude the Turkmen leader invited his counterpart to pay a visit to Turkmenistan at any convenient time. The dates of he visits would be adjusted through diplomatic channels.
In conclusion Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul exchanged the heartfelt wishes of peace, happiness and wellbeing and wished new accomplishments on the path of ongoing reforms and grandiose changes to the peoples of two fraternal countries.
