Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Is against Sale of Agricultural Lands
OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is against the Sale of the Agricultural Purpose Lands.
It was declared by V. Lytvyn giving comments regarding the veto put by the President on the Law on Extension of the Moratorium on Land Sale of the Agricultural Purpose until 1 January 2012.
"Unfortunately, the President of Ukraine demonstrated his position and put the veto on the law. Though, the statement is rather interesting as though he is not against the moratorium extension but there are other devices as, for example, adoption of the Law on Land Cadastres and Market", - the Head of the Parliament briefed.
V. Lytvyn is convinced that "this factor is not serious one, as if there had been one more device to prevent land sale until the year 2012 it would have been even better and objectively."
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed the thought that "under other conditions it is state crime to dwell upon the land market."
"I repeatedly make the point that it is inadmissible to sell the land of our fathers as it is equal to sell your own parents. It shall never be done", - he declared.
