OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. Today, President Alexander Lukashenko will make a working trip to the Brest Region. Specifically, the President will visit the town of Baranovichi to take a look at the social and economic situation there.

The President will be briefed on what has been achieved in the field of sport in Baranovichi and the Brest Region on the whole. Alexander Lukashenko will attend the inauguration of the new Ice Arena in Baranovichi, a multi-purpose cultural and sports centre that includes not only the ice rink, but also gyms and halls for the various sports competitions and entertainment events.

After the inauguration ceremony, an ice hockey match between the team of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the team of the Brest Region will be held at the new arena.
