OREANDA-NEWS. December 9, 2009. A traditional meeting between Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the European Union member states and the Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to the Russian Federation took place in Moscow.

The Minister gave a positive appraisal of the cooperation between Russia and the European Union during the Swedish EU Presidency in the second half of 2009. Discussions centered on the Russia-EU summit results, the Russian draft European Security Treaty and various international issues.
